Our colt starting program is simply the best to give your colt a good foundation to carry him to the show ring or for your personal enjoyment. Top NRHA Champions have had their start at Haverty Ranch and gone on to accomplish great things! Our colt starting program at Haverty Ranch turns out horses with longevity and a great future. NRHA Champions that have been started at Haverty Ranch include such great NRHA Champions as Gunner, Spooks Gotta Gun, The Sweet Spot, Sonata Spot, Spats Dot Com, and Gunner Hold Your Fire, just to name a few. There are many great Open NRHA Horses and Non Pro Horses that have had their start at Haverty Ranch. After 60-90 days, you’ll get an honest evaluation of your colt’s potential. Every horse has potential and some horses might need to head towards a certain discipline. Clint and the staff at Haverty Ranch will give you an honest opinion of what will be best for you and your horse.

Spooks Gotta Gun
Clint Haverty started Spooks Gotta Gun and the photo seen here is Spooks Gotta Gun as a two year old reining horse prospect. Spooks Gotta Gun has gone on from his outstanding start at Haverty Ranch to be named the 2011 #4 Leading NRHA Junior Sire. He has over $81,000 in eanrings and was the 2008 Reining By The Bay $25,000 Open Derby Champion with Andrea Fappani in the saddle. Spooks Gotta Gun was also the 2007 APHA World Champion JR Reining Horse marking a 228.5. With a good start reining horses can reach their full potential. The Sweet Spot Had A Sweet Start
Seen here The Sweet Spot, Zane Haverty gave a good foundation to this special horse. The Sweet Spot is a 2004 Tobiano APHA stallion by Mark This Spot x Sugar Pop Gun by Gunner. The Sweet Spot had a great start at Haverty Ranch and went on to have NRHA earnings in excess of $50,000. He went on to win the 2010 NRBC Limited Open Reserve Championship, 2008 World APHA Open Reining Championship and was a 2007 NRHA Futurity Intermediate Open Finalist. Without a good start you never know if your horse will reach his full potential.
Sonata Spot was Started the Haverty Ranch Way
Sonata Spot was started right here at Haverty Ranch. Sonata Spot went on to be crowned the Reserve Champion at the NRHA Futurity in the Non Pro division. Sonata Spot was also the NRHA Non Pro Intermediate Futurity Champion. Sonata Spot went on to accomplish big things and we know that the start this great reining horse had at Haverty Ranch was part of the early education every reining horse should have.
